Our Mission

How We Work

Our mission is to get to know and understand your needs, wants, and long-term goals. We want to help you develop, implement, and monitor a strategy that’s designed to address your individual situation.

We understand the challenges families face today.

From managing your portfolio to saving for college to planning for retirement income, these personal finance challenges can be overwhelming. Our commitment is to utilize all of our resources and experience to help you pursue your goals.

We believe in thinking “out of the box” and we are not afraid to challenge conventional wisdom in our approach to investing and preserving wealth. All of our energy, commitment, and efforts are focused on you, the client, and your satisfaction.

One of our primary goals is to develop a long-term, trusting relationship with you.

Our Process

Our Process

We understand that everyone is unique with different goals and objectives.  Our process starts with a simple, no obligation, consultation.  In this initial meeting we can get to know you as a person as well as your financial situation.  This is also a time for you to get to know us - how we work with clients and what kind of people we are.  We believe in the importance of relationships and this first meeting is a chance for us to make sure we can work well together.  Once we both feel confident we can work together, we will roll up our sleeves and get to work.  We will analyze your current financial situation and with the understanding of your goals and objectives as well as your dreams, we can create a rough draft of a plan to get you pointed in the right direction.  After a follow-up meeting to review this draft and get your feedback, we will put together a final plan to present to you with some options as to how you can best implement the strategies we propose.  Once you are comfortable that we have the right road map, we will hep you to implement the plan and review it periodically to make sure you are on track.  While you are a client we will constantly look for ways to improve your situation. This can be making changes to your investments or strategies, looking for ways to minimize taxes where we possible, or simply taking advantage of planning concepts as your needs evolve.

Our History

Our History

Years of experience have prepared us to guide you through your life transitions.  Tim and Eric both got their start in the mid 1990's working at full service brokerage firms and in 1999 they came together and started an independent brokerage firm in Charlotte.  After running the firm and managing over 150 brokers for 10 years they were both anxious to get back to what they loved most - working face to face with clients to help them with their financial future.  In 2010, as if it were meant to be,  they met Jack Elledge, a 35 year veteran in the insurance business who was looking to create a succession plan.  Jack wanted to find a successful, conscientious advisor (or two) to take care of his clients while at the same time, a more experienced Tim and Eric were looking for a way to get back to working closely with clients. Over the ensuing months they would put together an agreement to create Elledge, Bain, Sides, LLC (EBS Wealth Management) - a full service financial service firm focusing on retirement income planning and investment management. With firm roots in both the insurance and investment world we are well prepared to help you with your complete wealth management picture.
